Director of Technology

Department: NEP Singapore

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position (Technology Director) is to provide leadership, vision and support to lead the technology development and implementation for NEP SG, IN & UAE in all activities of their business operations.

What (Tech Director) will do:

  • Partner with the Group CTO and execute the technology strategy for NEP’s Broadcast Services and Media Solutions groups.
  • Assess technology gaps across the business units and lead the development of a cohesive technology plan aligned to technology developments and trends in Broadcast Services.
  • Plan and roll out initiatives for robust delivery of current technology platforms and evaluate the adoption of emerging technologies within the business.
  • Anticipate and respond to major technology changes to ensure NEP Group’s ongoing competitive leadership.
  • Support Director of Engineering in the acquisition, implementation, and replacement of technology infrastructure and ensure it supports company’s goals and project deliverables.
  • Work across with a variety external partners and service providers to coordinate efforts, deconflict issues and priorities within the business unit.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership in the development and management of the annual technology budget for the business unit.
  • Drive Capex planning and ensure future readiness in line with the project timeline.
  • Support the sales teams to market new technology to clients.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to explore new technologies, leverage synergies and economies of scale across different lines of business.
  • Represents NEP at various community and/or business meetings, committees, and task forces; promotes existing and new technology to
  • Report to the President on a regular basis and keep him to up to date on the technological developments to the business.

Position Requirements:

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Client-centric and commercial attitude
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of broadcast services and the way the sector is evolving with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position in a media organisation and preferably in a Broadcast services environment.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and build strong relationships with peers, clients, vendors and others.
  • Ability to be an effective partner to the business with team building, mentoring and communications skills.
  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to deliver superior service and build lasting relationships by demonstrating NEP’s values.
