Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive individual for the role of Procurement Manager. This role is responsible for all aspects of procurement for regional generated spends across multiple or all business units, overseeing reviews/deals as directed by the European Procurement Director and their manager the Head of Global Procurement.

This is a senior hands-on role within the procurement community and requires proactive ownership of major spend reviews, savings delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will also have responsibility for supporting Group Procurement across the goals and tasks they undertake.

Top level deliverables include;

  1. Gain complete understanding of the businesses and spends
  2. Lead and support spend and category procurement projects
  3. Savings target achievement
  4. Stakeholder engagement
  5. Instigate savings reviews
  6. Establish best practices including authority levels and your influence on spends
  7. Be the go-to spend/supplier/category knowledge and procurement expert
  8. Lead on delegated group/global spend reviews, with effective liaison with Group and other country/regional procurement staff
  9. Supporting group procurement improvements; strategy, governance, policy, best practices, measurement

Travel to our offices in Bracknell, Crawley and Milton Keynes may be required and international travel may be occasional.

Qualifications:

In order to be successful, you will have commercial awareness gained through at least 10 years purchasing experience within a blue chip commercial environment and good procurement experience and knowledge of a range of product and service categories. You will have experience in a procurement hands-on leadership role, and preferably used to operating across multi countries or business units. Experience of managing change within an organisation and have an awareness of developing strategies and you

We are looking for an individual with the understanding and application of strategic sourcing process and best practices whilst also having the knowledge of the principles of supplier management. You will be an a excellent commercial and legal negotiation skills and strong stakeholder engagement and commitment to owning and running spend reviews, as well as helping staff run theirs.

Having a relevant degree or equivalent and/or member of CIPS will be advantageous.
