Purpose:

The role of Broadcast Solutions Engineers position is to develop, design, and implement new or modified NEP software solutions. This position will be a member of the broadcast support and networking teams to provide broadcast facilities with 24/7 support.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 technical support for NEP broadcast systems
• Ensure systems are acceptably stable and responsive to field engineering staff.
• Develop, maintain and support NEP monitoring system
• Researching, designing, implementing, supporting, and managing full-stack software solutions
• Testing and evaluating new programs
• Writing and documenting efficient code
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Maintain proper documentation and training of all projects.
• Troubleshooting and configuration of broadcast and network systems

Position Requirements:

• Technical or Associates degree in Computer Science desired, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Prior experience in the broadcast television industry preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
• Technical support background
• Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.
• Linux, Mac, and Windows proficient
• Proficient in Go, Node.JS / Python and/or other programming languages
• Ability to learn new technologies and solutions quickly
• Network management and monitoring experience
• Understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 switching
• Understanding of basic networking concepts such as VLANs, subnets, and network loops
• Experience w/ Kubernetes and VM solutions (VMWare, Nutanix, ProxMox, AWS etc) a plus
• Experience w/ Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus applications a plus
