Director of Production

Purpose:

We are searching for a Director of Production with a strong background in live broadcasting to join our team. The Director of Production will be responsible for leading and coordinating various aspects of production projects within our organization.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of producers and production staff, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Right hand man to the Executive Producer for all productions and production related operations/logistics
  • On call 24/7/365 for any and all issues that arise across all of our productions
  • Helps oversee over 2,500 events a year from a production, editorial, technical and logistical standpoint
  • Client facing contact for a variety of clients
  • Works with internal staff (Engineering, MCR, transmission) to ensure all departments are aligned
  • Understands each role and all equipment within the PCR including Xpression, Carbonite, Envivo and audio boards
  • Helps to hire and manage all freelancers, junior level production and technical staff across all REMI productions
  • Works to secure new freelancers for all positions to deepen our roster and bench
  • Provides training and training schedule for all incoming production personnel (Full-time and freelance)
  • Helps manage third party vendors for onsite footprint
  • Manage all facets of production, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Work hand in hand with all departments including Engineering, Transmission, Operations and Master Control to ensure successful planning.
  • Develop and enforce production plans and timelines.
  • Oversee production processes, including editing, graphics, and audio production
  • Liaise with clients at both the team and league level to ensure all requests are fulfilled.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, applying new knowledge to enhance production processes.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communication, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated experience as a Coordinating Producer in the Broadcasting industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools
  • Bilingual is a plus
