We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Cable Technician in our Warehouse. The entry level Cable Technician is responsible for quality control and organization of fiber and copper cables. The role is responsible for testing and pulling all cables needed for outbound orders and repairs cable as needed. This could be the ideal position for a person who wishes to receive a glimpse of what it is like to work in the Broadcast Media Industry. This hire will be for approximately 8 - 12 weeks depending on date of hire and needs.

This is Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm, on-site out of our Van Nuys, CA facility. The wage is $18-20 per hour. There may be a need for overtime to accommodate our clients schedules which could include Saturdays on occasion.

Key Duties Include:

• Build and maintain all types of Copper cable.
• Tests and repairs all types of copper cable (BNC, XLR, CAT-5, AC, DT-12, Triax, LMR etc.)
• Will be trained on all types of fiber cable (SMPTE, TAC, etc.)
• Soldering, terminating and crimping cables as required.
• Forecast cable needs for future orders.
• Responsible for pulling cable packages for outbound orders.
• Help with documentation of missing and damaged cable.
• Provides on-site support to the Engineering group as needed.
• Will be trained on UBS R2 Software.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Desired background: 1 year experience. Basic cable knowledge and maintenance skills.
• Ability to solder and terminate cables as required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to take on new challenges and follows through on commitments made.
• Knowledge of UBS R2 software a plus.
