We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify network requirements, propose solutions, and implement best practices to meet business objectives. This role is based out of Pittsburgh, PA. The individual will primarily work out of our home office and remotely, but some travel within the US will be required.
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other networking devices.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices and protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and QoS.
Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic, and optimize network resources to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with systems, applications, and services.
Implement security measures to protect the network against cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions to support business growth and technological advancements.
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, helpdesk staff, and other IT teams to resolve network-related issues and inquiries.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
