Purpose:

Supporting a leading OTT streaming service, NEP is seeking experienced Supervisors to join our Live Streaming Operations team in Los Angeles, CA. The Live Streaming Operations team is responsible for managing and monitoring inbound/outbound transmission, ad insertion, feed routing, and overall video/audio/caption quality for marquee sporting events and other live content. The Live Event Supervisor will join this expanding team, helping deliver these mission critical services effectively and efficiently. This position will require schedule flexibility, including weekends, late nights, and holidays. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual. The ideal candidate is well organized and can remain calm and focused under pressure.

Salary range is: 120,000 To 140,000

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day Live Operations workflow for Live Events and work to continually improve systems, process, and procedures
• Oversee game day operations and supervise freelance operators
• Manage commercial playout system and prepare playlists as needed
• Lead training activities for freelance operators
• Understand job functions and support freelance Live Operators and MCR operators as they complete their mission critical tasks
• Contribute requirements for Live Operations equipment, facilities, systems, tools, and processes
• Partner with customers, internal teams, and external vendors to improve service quality and efficiency

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in live event broadcasts and digital live streaming
• Strong understanding of broadcast technologies (video transport / routing, commercial playout, video servers, graphics, closed captions, etc) to execute repeatable operations workflows
• Able to clearly communicate and make decisions in a fast-paced live streaming environments
• Oversee and train operators for daily operations. Experience in Sports Broadcast beneficial.
• Document issues and potential issues, and communicate internally and externally on customer impact and future opportunities for mitigation
• Troubleshoot complex partner / vendor integrations for media delivery
• Experience creating, maintaining, and executing Playbooks and SOPs
• Understanding of video streaming technology
• Schedule flexibility with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Spanish and/or French skills beneficial
