Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive individual for the role of Procurement Manager. This role is responsible for all aspects of procurement for regional generated spends across multiple or all business units, overseeing reviews/deals as directed by the European Procurement Director and their manager the Head of Global Procurement.

This is a senior hands-on role within the procurement community and requires proactive ownership of major spend reviews, savings delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will also have responsibility for supporting Group Procurement across the goals and tasks they undertake.

Top level deliverables include;

• Gain complete understanding of the businesses and spends
• Lead and support spend and category procurement projects
• Savings target achievement
• Stakeholder engagement
• Instigate savings reviews
• Establish best practices including authority levels and your influence on spends
• Be the go-to spend/supplier/category knowledge and procurement expert
• Lead on delegated group/global spend reviews, with effective liaison with Group and other country/regional procurement staff
• Supporting group procurement improvements; strategy, governance, policy, best practices, measurement

Qualifications

• Commercial awareness gained through at least 10 years purchasing experience within a blue chip commercial environment
• Experience in a hands-on procurement leadership role
• Preferably used to operating across multi countries or business units
• Understanding of the principles of supplier management
• Excellent commercial and legal negotiation skills
• Reduce variability in demand by consolidation of requirements across business units
• Experience of managing change within an organisation
• Build Total Cost of Ownership models
• Ability to travel as needed, travel not expected to be extensive
